Lifting The Rock Off My Shoulders..

WOW..! 30th April 2008.. There was a breakthrough.. Finally told my mother about my convertion le.. The feeling was just great.. Opening up and declaring my faith to my mum.. It went well.. So now is to develop myself to be more like God and less of myself..

Severe Butt Cramp..

Ouch.. Butt cramp.. Why? Well, its all because of the traffic jam at the entrance of the TPE.. Got caught in that one STICKY of a JAM for about 40+ mins or so.. The good thing was that I got a seat.. That's where the butt cramp came from.. Well, in this 40+ mins or so, there was this taxi that got stuck in the jam beside the bus I was in..

At first, the meter on the taxi read $9.20.. But as time went by.. The meter creep slowly up to a shocking $21++, before I lost sight of the meter.. However, the taxi was still in the jam la.. You people should have seen the look on that guy passenger's face change.. Not the prettiest of faces..

Ultimately, the bus I was in got onto the TPE.. Now is the annoying part.. The whole stretch of TPE from IKEA to Seng Kang only took the bus I was in 5+ mins to get from 1 end to the other.. Man.. I wonder.. If the bus can go pass TPE so fast, what cause it to get stuck in the jam for like 40+ mins just outside the TPE entrance..?

But I tell you.. The feeling of just recovering from a severe butt cramp is just so "SHIOK"..!

Lift up your HANDS.. Open the door..

Yo..! Its ME again.. For this post, I would like to talk about my experience of opening up my life to God.. Hence the title "Lift up your HANDS.. Open the door..".. I know what your're thinking.. It sounds familiar doesn't it? Haha.. Hillsong - Glory..

Well, firstly, a Christen like myself would know that lifting up our hands in a gesture of surrendering to God.. This is important.. Why? Well, its only when we learn to depend more on God and less on our own strength, that we are able to achieve greatness.. However, plainly lifting up the hand doesn't mean anything.. As true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks(John 4:23-24)..

I feel that this right attitude for worshipping can also be used in all kinds of situation.. As like I've said, only when we learn to fully submit our lives to God, will we be able to achieve greatness in life.. As when we submit our lives fully to God, God will take over and watch over us..

So what are YOU waiting for? Lift up your hands, open the door and let the KING OF GLORY COME INTO YOUR LIFE!!!

Business Day..

Today was Business Day.. Hmm.. Started out alright I guess.. But after awhile.. Feel the pain man.. So tiring man.. But the fun part was using the loud speaker for the Dog-and-Bone game.. Super fun 1.. Dunno why.. Just felt great man.. Haha..

But the highlight of the day has got to be working with Amilia.. Super nice girl I tell you, super nice to work with.. Had a great day with my classmates today man.. Hope to have more great days with them ahead..

My New Class..

Yay..! Since the start new sem, today, Tuesday, 22th April 2008 was the 1st time I was going to meet my new classmates..

To tell you people the truth hor.. I had my concerns.. I was kinda afraid.. However, when it was time to go to my HR tutorial, I arrived outside the classroom and actually saw some very familiar faces.. And although I did not know those people that were familiar, I was kinda put at ease for the moment..

So.. Once we gotten into the class, of course we went to sit beside our OWN friends.. WHAT WERE YOU EXPECTING? THAT ALL OF US JUST STARTED TO MIX AROUND? LOL.. Anyways, the teacher was the 1 that surprisingly played a game with us.. And once the game got going, I started to see all the different personality types starting to come out.. There were those that were kinda "attention grabbing" and of course there was always this 1 guy that was kinda out-of-place..

OK.. With that said.. I was kinda proud of myself for taking the initiative to talk to that "out-of-place" guy.. The old me would have just stuck with the people I was comfortable with.. It is with the Power of God that that made this change in me.. And I thank God for that man.. HEHE.. Surprisingly I did not straight-away went to talk to a pretty girl.. LOL.. Really changed le.. The guys in my class are all kinda cool man.. Great brothers.. Even a big part of us did the same thing after the last tutorial of the day.. How cool is that right? Haha..

I think I will like this class.. But only time will tell.. For now, I'm just looking forward to spending time on Business Day with them.. Well, I will likely be in-charge of them la.. But either way, I should be able to spend time with them on the day itself.. Really looking forward to it..

Hmm.. The reality of life..

So.. Tuesday of week 1 of school.. Kinda excited because it was today that I would get to see my new classmates.. However, at the very start of the day, my day was spoiled when I saw a cruel piece of reality.. This morning, at the bus stop at Tamp where I waited for the buses to school each day, I saw this little girl who was alone.. What happen was that I was standing a distance away from her when I saw her taking out a bunch of coins, likely to take a bus.. This little girl then accidentally drop a 10cents coin onto the road.. There after, the girl started to panic(can see from the face).. And she was doing the "chia-chia" back and fore and back and fore.. By then, it was apparent to me that the 10cents coin was important to that girl but she was afraid to go onto the road, despite her holding SHINE, that hand phone(better than mine sia..)..

Here is what upsets me the most.. I looked on as the people around her just stood there and did nothing to aid the little girl.. What in the name of God is those people doing sia.. After seeing that no one was going to help that little girl, I stepped onto the road and retrieve the coin for her despite being the person furthest away from the the road..

In the end, that little girl after getting back her coin said "Thank You".. Now thats the good part.. A simple thank you was all it takes to make me feel all better again..

Here is what I think of her.. Joycelyn to me is a VERY VERY NICE person.. Really, I mean it.. Its like she always listen to me and the guys, and forgive us for doing stupid things, especially ME.. LOL.. You see.. I think that there were these few incidents that I'm pretty sure I made her quite angry.. But she has the heart of a TEDDY BEAR la.. So forgiving.. Really very nice..

Joycelyn is also as old as I am, thus, in the group, I had always feel that I could relate better to her.. Furthermore, she is so patience with me.. Aiyo.. Don't know what to say la.. Its just so GOOD to have her around..

A Psalms Verse A Day Keep The Devil Away.. 17-4-08

Psalms 37:16-17

This is what it says:

Better the little that the righteous have then the wealth of many wicked; for the power of the wicked will be broken, but the LORD upholds the righteous.

From this verse.. I understood the meaning of living without blame.. Like the verse says, the LORD upholds the righteous.. Thus, I think that in life, I would rather achieve very little than to use the wrong ways to achieve as much as I could achieve in my life time.. Ultimately, at the end of the day I would be judge by the LORD, and the LORD being our God, would uphold the righteous..

Lost..

OMG.. Tuesday morning wake up hor, I realised I couldn't talk.. Scary.. I LOST my voice.. Sad.. The whole day feel very lousy.. Lucky now abit better.. Lets hope it stays this way.. Haizz..

A little bit of myself..

Yo.. Hihi.. For this post right, I'm gonna talk a little bit about myself.. The picture you see before you was drawn by ME.. The person inside this picture is called Ichigo.. Ichigo is the main character in the hit anime series BLEACH.. For me right.. I love to draw, though I'm not very good at it.. OK.. So what has this character, Ichigo, got to do with me? Well, for starters, I was given the nick-name of Ichigo by this wonderful sister from TP EngIt called Xue Ting because she thinks that my hair colour then resembles Ichigo's hair colour.. Hmm.. Not bad lar.. To be called Ichigo.. Quite cool in fact.. But now hor, more and more people are calling me Ichigo.. Then abit sad la.. LOL.. I guess thats about it for this installment of a little bit of myself.. DO visit daily for the latest up-dates about all thing NICK DANIEL LIM ZHI WEI and then some.. Who knows.. There might be something about YOU too!!!

Psalms 2:8

This is what it says:

From the LORD comes Deliverance. May your blessing be on your people.

In this verse.. The 1st part says that "from the LORD comes deliverance".. This to my understanding is telling me that all things are delivered to me through the LORD.. As for the 2rd part, "May your blessing be on your people".. Its obviously is saying that may blessing be to the believers in the LORD.. Overall, I think its trying to tell me that blessings will be delivered to me if I delight in the LORD..

Psalms 36:1-2

This is what it says:

An oracle is within my heart concerning the sinfulness of the wicked: There is no fear of God before his eyes. For in his own eyes he flatters himself too much to detect or hate his sin.

Now.. This to my best understanding is that is when a person is too full of themselves, they will fail to realise or detest their own mistakes, they will remain unrepentant..

Well.. Putting it this way, we obviously know that it is something we should try to avoid.. Because if we remain unrepentant, God will not be able to work his magic through us.. So think about it.. Being humble is good.. I have to keep that in mind too.. Please keep an eye on me people.. Thank You!!!

Going home..

Isn't the two of them the cutest? Aww.. They are my juniors and dear friends.. It has being awhile since I last saw them.. So, when I was going back to my secondary school for the home-coming Day(fun-fair) today, I was full of anticipation.. And then when I finally got to see the 2 of them.. I was overjoyed.. I don't know why, but every time I see the two of them, all that comes to my head is that I'm happy.. This 2 sisters are just so positive about their life, they always have a smile on their face, and they really inspired me to look forward to the future in a HAPPY HAPPY way.. I really really love them, and I hope for nothing but the best for them in their future endeavors..

Chicken Wings Recipe For BBQ..

Are you having trouble with food for the upcoming Matthew event? Does it bother you that you do not have an idea on how to marinate your chicken wings for the BBQ? Well.. Do not be afraid.. I'm here to share with you my way of marinating chicken wings for a BBQ..

The things you will need is as follows:
Chicken Wings(Like duh..)
Oyster Sauce
Black Soy(For colour, and abit of the taste)
Sesame Seed Oil
Sugar
Salt
Black Pepper
Onion(Those with flesh that are white in colour)
Garlic
Spring Onions(Optional)

Method:
Well, 1st if all, this recipe is for 10 average size chicken wings..(We need some kinda standard don't we?)
- wash the chicken wings clean, pucking away any feather that might still be on it..
- dry that chicken!! VERY IMPORTANT!!! not too dry thought..
- add all ingredients together and mix well:
1 nice and big onion, finely diced
a small handful of spring onion,finely chopped(optional)
1 tablespoon of minced garlic
1 tablespoon of sugar
2 tablespoon of sesame seed oil
1 1/2 tablespoon of black pepper
5 soup spoon of oyster sauce
250ml of black soy(Those tai hua brand will do fine)
- now add the chicken wings to the sauce you just mixed and get your hands dirty!!! Spread the sauce well among the chicken wings and give them a work-out.. LOL..
- put in a zip-lock bag and let it sit overnight(If you don't have the time, at least let it sit for 30mins)
- lastly rub in 1/2 a tablespoon of salt before you leave for you BBQ the next morning

Reminder: Do not add the salt in too early or else you will end up with dry meat.. Also, do not apply butter on the chicken wings.. More often then not, the butter is wat makes the wings taste funny..

Disclaimers: Eh.. I cook by feeling de.. So the proportion of ingredients may be abit off.. But when I do it, it always turn out fine.. And is my 1st time writing a recipe, so cut me some slack.. Quality of ingredients used also affect the taste of the finished product..

Hmm.. I think I will devote this month to Psalms..

Yo.. So I will be spending this month or so talking about some verses from psalms.. I think that the book of psalms is a very nice book to read, moreover, I think that it kinda gives a overall view of what God is trying to tell us about our life..

For this post, I would like to refer us to Psalms 49:16-17..

It goes like this..

Do not be overawed when a man grows rich, when the splendor of his house increases; for he will take nothing with him when he dies, and his splendor will not descend with him

Sounds familiar? Its just like the old Chinese saying: shen bu dai lai, si bu dai cui (meaning- you're not born with it, and you will not die with it).. See.. God is telling us not to be too overly concern of our material wealth and things along that line.. Because ultimately, when we die, we will not be able to take our things with us.. And for what right? God will provide.. So rest easy knowing that God has got our backs.. Amen..

The Aftermath Of The Concert

Oh my.. When I woke up this afternoon(yes.. afternoon.. I slept late..), my calves was aching.. Must have being from all the jumping from the concert.. Do you people feel any pain too? If not must mean you never got your praise on!!! HAHAHA.. Yay.. Jump, Jump.. That how I'm feeling now.. PAIN.. Or can say that I'm weak la.. LOL..

The Concert..

OMG.. Planet Shakers.. Never heard of it until recently, despite singing their song like dunno how many times.. Dotz..

But seriously hor.. They ROCK man.. Yay!!! Majesty!!!

But all this would have being dull if not for the people around me, people like Chit, MX, Derrick, Jenny and so on..

Then hor.. That Jenny very funny 1.. Got scared by me for the second time with the same out of the book trick.. Haiz.. You guys should have seen the look on her face..

Like I like to say, got Jenny around, there will never be a dull moment.. Am I right? LOL..

But my heart goes out to this sister.. Despite of her always being the target of us to catch her pronunciation problems, she always handle the situation with a smile.. How nice right..

LOL.. Cannot le.. I continue with the examples will heart attack.. Hehe..

But seriously, we all love Jenny a lot de.. Right..? Very nice person that girl.. Jenny WE REALLY REALLY LOVE YOU..

Ok.. Down to business..

So.. The purpose of me setting-up this blog is to use it as something we like to call a "life-journal".. And as the name suggest, its a journal of one's life, in this case, my life.. Though sometimes I might add a little part of a few of you people's life into this blog too.. HAHAHA.. (For example, this 3 capital letter "HA" is a adaptation of a special person, my 1st ********.. You know who you are la.. LOL.. Paiseh.. Can't say the name, but you know who u are la.. My 1st ********)

LOL.. Anyways.. Down to business.. Pardon me.. I like to lame here and there once in awhile..

Alrighty.. So this bloggy is devoted to being a record of my spiritual walk with God..

I would like to start things of with one of my favourite Psalms verse.. Which is Psalms 89:24..

Its goes like this..

My faithful love will be with him, and through my name his horns will be exalted.

My personal interpretation of the meaning - Its speaks to me by telling me this; that God's faithful love is with "him", and in my case, ME, in your case, YOU, in our case, US.. And through "my name" which is the name of the Lord our God, that "his horns" meaning our strength will be "exalted" meaning something like brought to a greater height or something like that..

So you see lar.. God's love is with us de, don't worry so much when we are worrying too much.. Because you know why..? Because God will look after us, "and every little is gonna be alright~~~"

Oh.. 1 last thing.. I love the people of HOPE church Singapore!!! Even more, the TP unit!!! Especially BizArt, more of BizArt 1 of course.. LOL.. And of course I love the EngIt side too..
